What You Get With Your Key
With your API key, you gain access to a hosted, OpenAI-compatible chat-completions endpoint. The service serves a single uncensored large language model optimized for open-ended conversation and text generation. You can send prompts and receive text responses using standard POST /v1/chat/completions requests. The model supports streaming via Server-Sent Events and tool/function calling for enhanced programmatic control.
The base URL for all requests is https://api.mistralapikey.com/v1. You will specify the model ID as uncensored in your requests. This setup ensures that your existing client code works without modification, provided you update the authentication header and base URL. The model runs on our own GPU servers and is tuned to minimize content refusals for lawful adult use.
Billing and Trial Credit
New accounts receive $0.50 of trial credit valid for 7 days, requiring no credit card. After the trial expires or is used up, you can top up with prepaid credit starting at $10 via card or crypto. Credit never expires, and you only pay for tokens used: $0.25 per 1M input tokens and $1.00 per 1M output tokens. Top-ups of $50 or $100 include bonus credit of 5% and 10% respectively.
There are no monthly fees or subscriptions. Your key allows 300 requests per minute and supports request bodies up to 8 MB. Prompts are not used for training your data. A hard limit blocks sexual content involving minors regardless of your credit balance.

Do I need a credit card to sign up?
No, you can create an account with just an email and password. You receive $0.50 of trial credit immediately without linking a payment method. You only need a card or crypto when you are ready to add prepaid credit to your account.
What happens when my trial credit ends?
Your trial credit is valid for 7 days from account creation. Once it expires or is fully consumed, you will need to add prepaid credit to continue making requests. You can top up starting at $10, and any remaining balance (if you had added funds) or new credit will persist without an expiration date.
How do I replace a leaked key?
You can regenerate your API key at any time from your account settings. The old key is immediately revoked, so any requests using the old key will fail. It is best practice to update your client configuration as soon as you generate a new key.
Is this the official Mistral API?
No, this is an independent service running an uncensored open-weight model. While it uses an OpenAI-compatible interface for convenience, it is not affiliated with Mistral AI. We do not serve Mistral's official models, and our pricing and limits are specific to our own infrastructure.
